It's a 2 stage vintage germanium transistor powered boost that can cover lots of sonic ground and provide many flavors of dirt. It can be a dirty boost, it can be a low-gain overdrive, it can be a full on fuzz, it can be a grinding distortion. It's super responsive to pick attack, and cleans up very nicely when you roll back the volume knob on your guitar. It also sounds great with a bass. The circuit was tweaked and refined in 2017 with the generous help of Mr. Kurt Ballou (God City Stuido/Converge) and Mr. John Snyder (Electronic Audio Experiments).

Controls include a 4-position tone selector knob, two small volume knobs (one for each stage-they're interactive when both stages are engaged); two footswitches (on/off & 2nd stage on/off) and a tiny toggle switch to kick on some clipping diodes (when both stages are active).
